Sister's Open Iftar
On Saturday 8 March, come and join us for an afternoon and evening to celebrate women and girls at our Sister’s Open Iftar on International Women’s Day. This is a free pre-bookable event open to women and girls of all faiths and none.
Please note, this event is for women and girls only.
The event will take place in Hangar One where you will be able to take part in activities nestled amongst some of our most iconic aircraft such as the Chinook.
You will be able to take part in a variety of STEM and craft activities alongside the chance to handle a range of museum artefacts and uniform you can try on.
After trying our different activities, we will have time where we come together for some led reflection.
We shall be breaking the fast at 5.58pm (tbc) with some fruit, dates and water, followed by halal food to break the fast together.
Timings:
15:00 - event opens and activities start
17:30 - activities end
17:58 (tbc) - breaking of the fast
18:15 - food served
20:00 - 20:30 - Sister's Open Iftar ends
