Pilot Training Passport 2023

Your mission should you choose to accept it… train like a Second World War RAF pilot at the RAF Museum Midlands this Easter!

Have you got what it takes to train like an RAF pilot during the Second World War? Are you brave enough to embark on a mission that will test your speed, brain and teamwork skills? Join our pilot training programme this Easter at the RAF Museum Midlands and find out if you’ve got what it takes to be a RAF Pilot!

The RAF Museum has partnered with the reenactors of UP AN' AT 'EM! HISTORY who will be your training instructors. In order to complete the training successfully, you will have to undertake five different missions that will test you and your skills – from quick fire aircraft recognition and testing your speed on an assault course or putting your fire fighting skills to the test.

The “Scramble!” mission will test your speed – race to the aircraft and dress in flying gear as fast as you can.

Explore the evolution of aircraft as you become a “pilot” of a WW1 bi-plane and learn about formation flying. The “Stop the Blitz” training will require you to act fast to tackle our Blitzed street and fight “fire” with pumps and buckets. Test your quick-fire observation skills in the “aircraft recognition” game as you keep a watchful eye out for enemy aircraft. And finally put your agility and speed to the test in the “awesome assault course”.

Your will receive you own Pilot Passport. For each completed mission, you will receive a stamp in your passport – once all stamps have been collected, you can collect and wear your brand-new badge proudly – you made it!
