STEM Week: Paper Jet Designing Contest

Have you got what it takes to make a stream-lined jet that is guaranteed to go the distance?

First you will design your paper jet before stepping up to the RAF Museum paper jet designing runway to let fly. However far your plane flies, your effort will be recorded on the leader board. Then, participants will use the rest of the session to tinker with their designs in attempt to get their jet to fly even further.

Does adding a paper clip to the nose make the jet fly further? We're not sure yet but we're keen to find out!

All little aircraft technicians who take part will receive a badge for designing their plane and there will be a grand prize for whoever's jet flies the furthest during the session.

This workshop is running:

Wednesday 19, Thursday 20 and Friday 21 in the Hangar 3's Halton Gallery.

Timings: 11:00am, 1:00pm and 2:30pm
Tickets: £3

Given the popularity of this activity, pre-booking a workshop ticket and car-parking is highly recomended to avoid disappointment.
