Second World War Week: Aircraft Access (Meteor & Vampire)

This May, visitors will have unprecedented access to aircraft produced as a result of the second World War.

Serving in day, night and training operations, the Gloster Meteor was the only allied jet to see combat in the Second World War whereas the De Havilland Vampire a product of post-war engineering. Don't miss out on the opportunity to peer inside the cockpits not one but two historic aircraft!

PLEASE NOTE: Visitor will NOT gain access INTO the cockpit but will be taken through the controls by an experienced-guide from the outside

The aircraft access sessions will be 20 minutes long. Visitors will spend 10 minutes with each aircraft.

The aircraft access sessions will be running:

Saturday 24, Sunday 25, Monday 26, Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 of May in Hangar 3. Upon arrival please follow the signage or ask a member of staff for directions.

Timings: Between 11:00am and 1:00pm then 2:00pm and 4:00pm

Tickets: £6

Given the popularity of this activity, pre-booking an aircraft access ticket and car-parking is highly recomended to avoid disappointment.
