Raid The Shelter is a 45-minute experience where you learn about two different types of shelters used in World War Two - the outdoor Anderson Shelter flat-packed to a lot of homes in England, and the indoor Morris Shelter that reinforced a table to hide under whilst still having small comforts of the home like heat and light. Then follow along a tutorial video on how to make your own card Anderson Shelter that you can then take home with you. Finally, dress up in period dress and experience an air raid yourself in our air raid simulator. 

If anyone feels uncomfortable with loud noises, they can sit in the classroom section whilst the simulation happens. These activities have a designated start time and participants must complete the activity within the time frame, alongside other participants. There will not be the option to begin, leave the activity and return to complete later.
