Dementia Friendly Tour
Discover more about the history of flight and the Royal Air Force in this bespoke dementia friendly tour. This tour is designed to enable people living with early-stage dementia and their carers and companions to experience the RAF Museum through an engaging and relaxed tour.
This tour will take our 'First World War in the Air' exhibition as its focus and explore our collection with the help of photographs and handling items so that participants can get hands-on during the session. You'll have the opportunity to find out more about the founder of the London Aerodrome Claude Grahame White, one of Britain's first black pilots Robbie Clark and learn about the life of motor transport driver Grace Mary Berry.
The tours will be led by a member of staff from the Museum’s Learning & Engagement Team. The RAF Museum London is an accredited Dementia Friendly Venue. This tour is for people living with dementia and their carer or companion to enjoy together.
